Anita Chan,
Anita Chan brings a 360° perspective to luxury hospitality, with a career spanning continents and sectors—from hotel brands and OTAs to mar-tech and service providers. Originally from Hong Kong and raised in Toronto, Anita began her journey in digital marketing at the Four Seasons Corporate Office, followed by Delta Hotels (now part of Marriott) as Distribution Marketing Manager.
She then joined a tech marketing firm in Calgary, rising to VP of Marketing by age 29, before moving to Hong Kong to work with leading digital agencies and luxury hotel groups such as The Peninsula and Raffles. She held key roles including Regional Director at Orbitz and VP Asia Pacific at Small Luxury Hotels of the World. During this time, she also completed a PhD in Business Research.
In 2015, Anita became CEO of Compass Edge, a boutique mar-tech agency helping independent luxury hotels bridge Western and Chinese digital strategies. The company has supported over 620 hotels and earned numerous accolades under her leadership, including multiple CTW and Asia Pacific Luxury Awards.
A frequent speaker at major industry events (ITB Asia, WebInTravel, etc.) and a judge for prestigious awards, Anita has been widely recognized for her contributions, notably as the only woman in Asia featured in HITEC’s Women of Hospitality Technology Special Report (2019).
In 2025, alongside her role at Compass Edge, Anita became CEO of Elegant Hotel Collection Asia Pacific, marking another exciting chapter in her impactful career.
